Sunday Night Football Chiefs vs. Bucs
I’ve been working directly with NBC Sports for a couple of years now. We’ve pulled off some pretty fun promos for NASCAR, PGA and the OLYMPICS. So, when they asked me to put a team together to launch Sunday Night Football, I was stoked. When we were briefed on the Bucs vs. Chiefs game, I was ecstatic. And when we sold a spot where Beck covered Neil Young’s “Old Man”, I nearly lost my shit.
The parallels between this classic song and the Brady-Mahomes saga are impossible to ignore. They both won Super Bowls at age of 24. They’re both headed for the Hall of Fame. And while one is in the twilight of his career, the other is just getting started.
UPDATE: Beck’s cover of “Old Man” was nominated for a Grammy, so yeah, my shit is officially lost.
