We communicate through more than words—facial expressions, body language, tone. But for many people on the spectrum, those cues can be harder to read, making digital conversations more difficult than they should be. So we created Project Convey: an AI-powered video chat prototype that translates emotions into emojis in real time. Designed with people on the spectrum, for people on the spectrum, the platform helped make conversations clearer, deeper, and more human.
